The hotel offers comfortable rooms, great views, and friendly service, although it could use some updating. The location is picturesque with attractions nearby, but dining was a bit disorganised. Overall, a pleasant stay with room for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The room had a musty odor but was bright with a nice sitting area and beautiful village views. The bed was comfy but could benefit from updates.
Service
8.0
The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, providing great service. However, the dinner service was abrupt and the food quality did not match the high prices.
Location
9.0
The hotel's hilltop location overlooking the town and loch was dramatic and offered a cozy atmosphere. It's ideal for a long stay to explore the beautiful area, with a sister hotel nearby for excellent dining.
Dining
6.0
The buffet-style dining had a good selection but was a bit disorganised. The old plates were a downside, and the food quality did not match the price.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel provides laundry service and offers a cozy atmosphere with a large fireplace. However, it lacks clear communication with just reception instructions.

My stay at the hotel was lovely. The rooms could do with a bit of a refurb, but they offer fantastic views out to sea, and the sunset is simply amazing. The bed was good-sized and comfy, and I enjoyed the nice little sitting area with great views over the village. Being able to park right outside the room was very convenient for us, especially with our dog, and the hotel even provided a dog bed and a bowl.

The location was lovely and served as a fantastic base for exploring other areas. Although not within walking distance of Gairloch village, it was ideal for a peaceful stay.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was okay, but we had to order at reception, and our web order disappeared, leading us to fill in a paper version. The home-made pastries were a nice touch.
Facilities

The hotel has basic facilities, but the surrounding area is picturesque and offers a relaxing atmosphere.

6.2/10

The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The location is superb, surrounded by lovely woodland walks and near the harbour, but the dining experience was disappointing with overcooked food and a lack of atmosphere. The rooms, though located above the dining area, provide a lovely view of the town below.
